High voltage resistance
The resistance of a conductor to current is called the resistance of the conductor. High voltage resistors are the most used components in all electronic circuits. It is mainly used in high voltage devices as a voltage divider and discharge resistance, working voltage of 10 ~ 100kV, slender shape and large volume, power up to 100W. High voltage resistors are usually made of glass glaze film and synthetic carbon film.

Description

High voltage resistors are those that operate at high voltages from 1000 to 35,000 volts, with resistance values up to 1011 ohms. High voltage resistor must have high resistance value and dissipation power to withstand very high voltage. In order to prevent electrical breakdown, must choose the high voltage strength of the slender matrix, resistance film made of spiral belt type, and the voltage gradient along the length of the direction shall not exceed 500 volts/cm.

This resistor is made of synthetic carbon film, metal film and metal glass glaze film. It is used as voltage divider and absorber in high voltage device, and can also be used for discharging and quenching of rectifier and filter capacitor.
